I suppose that is one of the core motives behind all the propaganda machines: "winning at all costs" . So that they can kill the competition, crush those who question and get more money\fame\or succeed at spreading whatever evil objective they are working at.

These techniques , which eventually thrive on our biases , can draw much analogies between the combination how of a virus spreads + the tricks used by the sellers of products which can be categorized as "snake oil".
