My suggestion would be start investing in learning backend + frontend , system design , ML\ AI skills. Native Android skills are going to be reduced due to the hybrid Flutter\ReactNative frameworks. I have done Android development for 12 years on niche apps (virtualization \ MDM) but such jobs are few and require less developers (infact more than Android \Java I rely on my C++\embedded systems skills). The Simple UI development roles for Android you will find people by the dozen where every college kid is building Android apps at home. It wont allow you to grow up to staff\architect roles in the industry. Check my comment to the author in this article for more details. He is right!
